Question about: I-485 Part 2 (Application Type)

Hi, I am a USC and about to file Green Card for my spouse who is currently in US on H1-B visa. I have a question on I-485 Part 2 (Application Type). The question states, 'I am applying for an adjustment to permanent resident status because:' and there are 8 check boxes to choose from. I...

Moving after applying GC for spouse

We have exactly 2 months before the move. I like the idea of getting the paperwork and medical exam done, I have a good idea on paper work, but not about medical exam, I will look up information about medical exam. Thanks.

Moving after applying GC for spouse

I will be a citizen in a week, and planning on applying GC for my spouse (currently on H-1B). We will be moving to a different state in couple of months. How easy/difficult would it be to update the address once we start the GC process, or it would be simpler to apply after moving to new state...

Online status is not reliable, do not be concerned about it. I finished my interview, my status never changed, it always shows they received the application and my case is pending.

    OCI - San Francisco Tracker

We are moving to SF area in couple of months, and I am planning on applying for OCI once we settled there. I have a question. Should I first cancel my Indian passport (from their web site, it can be done by walk-in), before applying for OCI? Or if I send it along with OCI documents, they...

    Boston MA - N-400 TimeLine

For me, the officer started on first page of N-400, asked for my DOB, SSN, current address. As he flipped through pages, he was asking questions. Like on Employment section, he asked, 'So, you currently work for XYZ?', I said Yes. Then he flipped to Travel section, asked, 'What is your most...

Glad to hear your husband cleared the interview. My IO didn't ask me for any documents, I think it all depends on IO. Congratulations on becoming citizen. Also, was your husband able to attend your oath ceremony?

How do you fill in the N-400 form?

I had the same issue when filling in name and address of the companies I have worked in last 5 years. I just left it that way (with + sign).

    Q2 (APR-JUN) 2009 N400 Filers Tracker

Thank you WishAllGood. Looks like Boston DO is little different from other DOs. I remember reading some posts in Boston thread with similar process (civic test first, interview later). Yes, it is good that I don't have to again wait for oath letter, I can just prepare for oath :)
