After receiving the courtesy copy, make an Infopass appointment at your local USCIS. Take PP photos, previous/present EAD, AP. Get your PP stamped. Wait for the card to arrive. And that's about it!
No, you don't need the stamp any more. You are the real GC holder now.
Stamp is a temporary permit for travel/work which is valid for 1 year or
until you get you physical card.

I-9 is Employment Eligibility Verification. You have to complete it giving your Alien number or other work authorization (H-1, L-1, TN etc.). Employer keeps it for their record.

the employer. I don't recall seing any questions about my job/employer in the renewal application form. Only things I enclosed were photos, check and a photocopy of present EAD. Filed it myself and saved $500 attorney...
You don't need to have a job to renew EAD.
