I don't think it is a "must" to submit affidavits. If you can easily get the affidavits then provide them with your app. I always think the more documentation you have the better. BTW, if you have a son - submit a copy of his birth certificate also.

I received my "card production ordered" email today, 02/26/2009.

I think you should be OK. Usually you get the receipt notice/1 year extension within a couple of weeks.

I think in general you get a notice from USCIS stating that they received your I751. In this letter, it looks like they usually extend your current GC for another year. If you never received this letter stating that your I751 is received then there is a high probability that this letter was lost...

The 1 year extension should be on the I-751 receipt notice.

I received the card in the mail today. :) It's been an interesting day so far. I had to go to USCIS early in the morning (7.30am) to get my passport stamped with the 551 stamp. I needed the temporary stamp to travel abroard; Was waiting for it all last week, but it didn't arrive. Anyway...

We had the priority date field filled with a date on the I-130 approval notice (the 797 Notice of action), all the others including the welcome notice were left empty. My wife is a US Citizen. So may be priority dates are relavent for the I-130 in this case.

What I noticed is that even though they put your case in suspension because of an RFE, the priority date for your case is still maintained as the receipt date. I just got my card production ordered email. So it took 2 business days from the welcome notice email (actually 4 business days from the date on the welcome notice).

Thats interesting, I never received the approval or card production ordered emails. I got the welcome notice sent email directly. Ofcourse I am still waiting for the card to arrive or some email to say that they have ordered the card production.
