So anyone had any luck recently with inquiring about their namecheck status with the FBI? I faxed and e-mailed them more than 2 weeks back requesting for a status - but no response back yet.
Also, there is no record online of my AOS interview. Is that usual?
thanks
Yes - this is what I am talking about.

But, it does not state that you need be a permanenet resident or citizen to get benefits. As long as you are legally i the country, I think a person should be eligible to apply for these...
My company might be laying me off very soon. Now, I had my AOS last month but am stuck in the namecheck quicksand. I already have my EAD and have been working using it.
Now, if I get laid off, can I apply for unemployment? Has anyone done it in the past?
Thanks
The entire process is such a matter of luck - AOS interview and Namechecks being the worst.
While I am stuck in a namecheck, can I apply for a Travel documentat least? I already applied for one with my initial applications - but the AO advised me that wait for some time before re-requesting...
Had my AOS interview scheduled for 11:30AM today morning. Reached LA DO at 9AM - and checked in. I was called in at 9:30AM. The officer who interviewed me was the head AO. Asked me and my wife no questions. Some casual chit-chat. Very nice guy. Went through all check boxes. Told me that he CAN'T...
I just recvd my interview letter for May 4th.
Does anyone have a checklist that they can post of the stuff I will need to take for my interview?
Also, any tips I can use?
thanks
I recived an e-mail from CRIS about 2 days back thatmy I130 was approved. What does that mean? What are the next steps? Is there that I need to do? Does this mean that I should expect an interview call soon?
thanks
Hello,
Can any one advise me on what to write to the congressman to get the best and most effective reponse to my enquiry about delays in BCIS processing? My timeline for Los Angeles DO is below. Has any one had positive experience withthis before?
As my case has just stalled, I am...
Yeah - They just read the same information from the CIS website that we have access to - nothing new - or different than what we have access to.
Thanks
My timeline for Los Angeles DO is below.
As there had been no activity on my case for more then three months, I decided to take an InfoPass to find out about it.
The officer loked up my case and said that everything was in order - and that they hadnt recvd. my file yet from NBC. Also, he...
I have never heard anything such as "I-765 on hold". The law states that you are eligible for a iEAD after 90 days. No harm trying for an InfoPass again and trying your luck for an iEAD
Do you know anyone who has used this number and process before? If so, was it helpful? My FP happened more then 3 months back - and then after that everything has stopped. Thats why I am thinking of callingthe FBI to find out whats happening
I had to face similar problems when I went for my iEAD. The DO (Los Angeles) had no record of recieving my RFE. They did not even have record of my fingerorints notices being sent to me. I showed them an e-mail from USCIS that they had recvd my RFE and also the stamp on my fingerprint notice...
Hello,
My timelines are given below for Los Angeles, DO.
There has been NO activity on my case for the last three months. There was not even an acknowledgement that my fingerprints were recvd by the BCIS.
I have taken an InfoPass for next week to "Talk to an Immigration Officer" in...
