    Problem in PCC

Forgot to mention... We both had valid visas (B1 for me and B1/B2 for my wife). The lady at the counter specifically asked us if we had valid visas and she stamped on our forms indicating we have valid visas. We think this could have been another point which can facilitate the PCC process.

    Problem in PCC

An update on my PCC: Went today to the RPO, Worli. There are 2 queues for Misc. services (ECNR, PCC etc). To make sure that we have the proper documentation with us, I went to the 'Facilitation Counter' desk. They charge Rs.10 per case to check if you have proper documentation based on your...

    Problem in PCC

kd1403: I had read somewhere that the interview date gets rescheduled to atleast 2 months later. Has that changed now? If what you are saying is true 1. How many days before do I need to let the consulate know that I may not be able to attend? 2. Do I need to go personally to the...

kd1403: Does the PCC have any reference to the address of the individual? I know you have mentioned that it is just applicable for the person in that country but just wanted to confirm.

    Problem in PCC

My wife's passport mentions a Pune address while we stay in Mumbai. When she went to apply for the PCC in RPO Mumbai, she was told that she will need to get a change of address done in the passport and a police enquiry would be done which could take upto a month. Another option was to go to...

    Pay Stubs and Tax transcripts

I haven't stayed in the US for the past 4 years. 1. Should I carry paystubs of my Indian company (subsidiary of US company but name is different)? 2. I suppose I do not need to carry tax transcripts as I haven't stayed in the US, correct?

Likey Mumbai CP Interview in April, May, June -2004

Few more questions on I-134: 1. Instructions for I-134 say that I need a statement of my employer. I am currently employed in an Indian office of a US company. The name of the company in India is different from the US company (which is really sponsoring my GC). I assume, in this case should I...

kd1403 and others: 1. Since I am not on an H1, I should write my Indian address on the I-134, correct? or since I have a B1, I could write a US address? 2. On the I-134, for #1, none of a,b,c or d is applicable for me. What should I do?

Likey Mumbai CP Interview in April, May, June -2004

kd1403: I will ask the consulate in the US but I still had a question. I thought the PCC is a clearance based on the duration of stay in the particular country. I have stayed in India most of the last 4 years. Even if the consulate in US does agree to give me the PCC based on B1, would...

Mine is not scheduled for April. I sent an email to the consulate and they replied 'they hope to schedule us in May'. Looking at the last numbers on the list for April, mine seems to be close enough to be scheduled for May (fingers crossed!!). I need to get PCC from Local police station and...

Likey Mumbai CP Interview in April, May, June -2004

Victor3536: You need to provide information to your lawyer so that he can prepare the forms DS2001 and DS230 Part 1 (for you and your wife). Your signatures are needed on both forms and your wife's on DS230 Part 1. Other than that, the lawyer should be able to prepare the packet for...
