How can an Immigration Officer can know how long a person has been putside the States? By checking the stamps on the person's passport?

I don't have any experience, but I would brin the birth certificate. I think they actually ask you to take it to the interview. Good luck.

Actually he is being paid overseas, but we have kept accounts in the US and this job is fairly recent. He's only been working here for two months. We have made deposits to our US account and have to pay taxes in the US next year. I have not been told to bring any tax documents to the interview.

Hi Alex; Yes my husband is a US citizen. I had to move just a few months before this notice came out and now I am kind of nervous about the interview.

I am not in the Denver area but mine took several months to come. I wouldn't worried about it. If too much time passes just give them a buzz.

I guess you have already been granted advance parole and it shouldn't be a problem. How long are you planning to state outside the States? HAve you discussed this with any lawyer?
