Yes, you can apply for an advance parole even if your RTD is still valid. I did the same thing in 2004. Since then I haven't looked at the form, so read it well before you apply in case it has changed. Good luck.
If you won't need your RTD between now and May 4, then your best bet is to apply for a new one. You will have to mail them back your current RTD, because the form says you can't apply for a new one (I don't think there is such a thing as a renewal) if you are in posession of a valid RTD, unless...
My wife was exactly in same situation (I posted a separate thread "Medical Class B Condition" in this forum), except we were not so well informed as you were BEFORE going to the immigration doctor. We first freaked out that her TB skin test was positive, but after some research we found out that...
I've been a part of this forum for a few months. Let me know if that's enough.
What you are saying doesn't hold water. When you become a citizen of this country, then you will be automatically protected by it's government. That's one of the reasons why so many people want to become citizens...
WANTMYGCNOW, It's Not OK To Travel To Home Country With A GC
It seems like a lot of people in this forum are forgetting on what basis they got their GC. After so many years in this country it's very easy to forget. It's a lot different feeling when you are standing on the OTHER side of an...

Hi,
I was in my home country about 5 times as a derivative asylee. The country I am from is however not the same as my wife's, who is the principal asylee. I would never travel to her country, that could geopardize my status as an asylee. I had called INS and asked about going to my country and...
Hi ing82,
i received the letter today 12/10. it basically said that i'm approved and that i'll be receiving a separate letter for bio scheduling. it said not to take any action now, unless i didn't hear from them in the next 90 days.

ND July 2002 Approved, NSC
ND July 2002 Approved!!!
Today I received this email (below). The weird thing is I was never scheduled for any Bio, only FP in 2004!
I guess it's going to take a while before I get the actual "plastic".
I suspect INS is trying to crank out as many cases as...
Asylum and Mortgage
OK, I realize that this forum is not meant for this kind of discussions, but on the other hand I can't think of other equally versed source of information in asylum related matters. So I'll ask this question anyway: does anybody have experience with getting a mortgage for a...
Thank you for comments
Thanks everybody for their insight.

Hi, I just discovered this great forum.
I have an input and a question about my wife's medical result. Her TBC skin test was positive, but a subsequent chest X-ray test was negative. The doctor noted on the form that she has inactive TBC. This is a class B condition, not class A which...
