My 3rd EAD was approved 5/31. ND 4/15. Yet to receive the card. Hope TSC can direct resources to speed up 485 processing as they appear to be doing for EAD.

Sorry to hear about your experience. As far as I understand ( I'm not a lawyer), as long as your 485 is pending, you are in legal status( your status is 485 pending). Did you talk to your immigration lawyer?

Just talked to an IIO. He said they are processing Nov 2000 cases, my case (Sep 2001) would need to wait for another 6 months. The case would be assigned to an officer when that time comes up.

What evidence of being in legal status did they request in the RFE? Having I485 pending automatically keeps one in legal status(i.e status is I485 pending), does it not?

I made mime payable to "Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Servicies". The check was cashed and I received receipt for the application.

One possibility is to do consular processing in home country instead of adjustment of status(485).

I'm in the same boat. rd 485: 7/01 fp: 2/03 about to file third EAD. It's much safer to file the EAD than to bet on the 485 approval in 6 months.
