Just wanted to say to the OP, you asked a question in open forum and wanted some inputs, however i've been reading the last 2 pages and you dont seem liking it when ppl answer your question in negative connotation. If you only expecting all positive answers then there's no point to ask...

I'm actually also worry about this. I read somewhere that even after you had your interview, your name check may stay pending..is that true? My interview is not for another 2 weeks..and its August already. Will they be able to tell me my name check status during interview?

^^ Its not about whether they want to see your old passports or anything like that. But you wouldnt want that to go to wrong hands even if you already in the state and have a green card. I have 2 different nationality passports too, theres no way I would leave them behind.

Thanks!! But the letter is so plain, I wonder now whether this is an interview for DV or the employment based? because I have both. ANy way to check to make sure i bring the correct documents?

UPDATE!! I just got the interview letter--scheduled for Aug 7 at 9am!! But yeah..I have checked the case status online...nothing change..oh well!! I cannot wait-I hope I still make it and get the GC :-)

Not too sure if this has been mentioned before but say for example your EAD and travel parole has been approved (my guess mine will be early Sept) and say the worse case scenario I havent been to interview as yet thus I'm not going to get the DV, will they cancel your already approved EAD/travel...

RMS2003, your case is just like mine. I was confused if I should go ahead with the DV when the number is current. My EAD is card is on the way, but heard nothing about AP, I-140/I-485 (checked the receipt numbers on USCIS website, but get an error message instead..)

I would like to know about this too...I'm planning to go back to Australia for vacation in Feb and if I get a job before Feb, is that mean I lose the H4 and cant go back in Feb unless I have AP with me? (to date, theres no update when I enter the receipt number at the USCIS website).
