This is correct. My brother-in-law employment based GC was like that. He doesn't even received any letter for interview, just biometric and few months later he received the card by mail. But for DV I'm pretty certain that you need to attend the interview.

I only gave a copy of my bachelor degree and brought the original with me and the officer was satisfied with that.

Maconcita, you dont need to fill anything beside bringing the actual GC and SSN (and passport just in case). And no, your husband cannot do it for you since you have to sign the letter (receipt) that they will print out for you.

Maybe..just maybe..the people that applying for the DV mostly university graduate? So for example 2 million ppl applied, 80% university graduate...the 10000 people that being picked therefore have degree? Does that make sense? I don't think USCIS select the winners based on the degree.

I couldn't see why not. Though I'm a DV2008 winner, I did apply for the DV2009 only because my case number is considered to be in the higher side (obviously I fail to win again heheh)
