AUG,
1. can I change the employer based on AC-21?
>> Yes you can change employer based on AC21 memo, as long as you have passed the 180 day mark.
2. If yes, Do I need to maintain the same title and Salary?

thx for your inputs Ginnu. Yes my center is NSC. I havent applied for my spouse's renewal as she filed for her 485 only after 6 months of my applying 485 - 'follow to join'
will keep you guys updated on what the RFE is about.

Ghee,
First of all I suggest you go the local CIS office and get an iEAD and then start the process of correcting(incase you are running out of validity for the old card )
I applied for EAD renewal (2nd one) on 29th September and today I saw the online msg stating additional evidence...
redforgreen/DaoMingTze,
I was also thinking the same thing - since my lawyer sent only B/W copies.
Another possibility I think could be - the photos were not acceptable(but I took the one from Walgreens - so not sure)
Anyways thanks for your inputs guys and will keep the forum updated...
sixwalks,
thanks for the inputs - I was also wondering maybe since I sent B/W copy of the DL. I see a few posts saying it needs to be color copies of D/L and so on.
Or it could also be the photographs.
Thanks,
MrCoolz
Hi gurus,
Can you list some of the likely/common RFEs for EAD Renewal(2nd one). I applied for my renewal on 29th September and today I saw this message online.
On November 10, 2003, we mailed a notice requesting additional evidence or information in this case. The notice explains in...

Ghee,
I've applied for my 2nd EAD/AP on 29thSeptember. I presume in the current pace - it gets approved in about 45-60 days, unless there is a RFE.
However, as always ....you never know how it works with BCIS.

What exactly is the process in BCIS for 'name check' in 485 process. I saw few posts by norfesept01, etc about having their names checked so on and so forth.
If one of you can explain what exactly that means that would be great.

waiting_4_485,
Did you do it online or thro' ordinary mail?
Eitherway, it seems to be so quick - and I am wondering if they can do EADs and APs so quickly without much troubling(or giving any of the usual ridiculous excuses) - why not get our 485s cleared in 6-8 months?
-MrCoolz
junk12345,
No! I was contemplating change - but since I wasnt sure that even the change would provide some stability - I thought I'd rather stay put in my current job and be on it as long as it goes. So right now I am taking one day at a time.
Hope this answers your question.

I agree
DaoMingTze,
I totally agree with DaoMingTze - they perhaps should charge a premium for those interested in pursuing their 485s faster. This way atleast ,if BCIS intends to be a profit making org, they will be do better, than lose. At the same time people like us will get a hold of...
hoho
I was told it is a pretty long process to get the last name changed for the spouse. I suggest you check with your attorney and also some of the Volunteer Moderators here.
Eitherway get it stamped first before you make any changes or who knows you might endure another wait.
-MrCoolz
Yes you can!
Junk12345,
There is no indication of how many times you are eligible to use the AC21 portability. I once asked the same question in Murthy Forum and one of their attorneys replied(you can the find the postings in their archives) - that you can use AC21 multiple number of times...
Not sure
If we go by the chart in the News Flash, I should be getting my approval in the next month or so.
My RD is 11/02.
I dont think life with USCIS is that easy, although we all wish it was easy.

Yes its true
Waiting_4_485,
Yes its true that if your children or child is about to be 21 and your AOS is not adjusted yet, then they call some term(age bar case) or something and the attorney representing you can file a motion to speed up your case for a decision.
I know one of my friend...
davh
The idea of being legal and employed for 5 years is the same as in United Kingdom - where if you meet the above 2 criteria you are given Permanent Residency.
Btw, just incase if you didnt know - nobody waits there for years together like the AOS saga - Upon completion of 5 years, you...
Looks good
Gcworthy,
your case seems to be good for AC21 - so I guess there is no reason why you shouldnt switch jobs if you are not getting paid.
