If your case is PENDING is better than denied! Usually pending cases will be granted, it's just a matter of time.If USCIS wanted to deny your case, usually they do it in 7-10 days.
Prof of residency has nothing to do with your bank statement. When uscis asks for proof of residency, it means, they want a copy of your i94 profing that you have been legaly in the country. I didnt send anything related to bank, house, mortage, blah blah blah.
Absolutely report to your International office, otherwise, if you dont tell them, they will report you to USCIS even though you are legal but for the school they have no idea. Thats what i did. I gave the school a copy of my i94 asylum granted and the school cancelled my international student...
I don't think so! EAD comes in the mail when you were granted asylum. EAD comes automatically....it comes a week later, right after when USCIS grants you asylum.
Send a copy of both. I94 asylum granted and the one DHS gave you at the airport. The i485 asks for LAST ARRIVAL, which means THE LAST TIME YOU ENTERED THE COUNTRY.
I traveled before my GC last year and I had no problems. Uscis counts one year from the date you were granted asylum. Since you were gone for a month, instead of filing your i485 in june, file it in july: a year + month you were gone.
