Residency proof for green card processing..

I would like to know bank statement would be valid for residency proof for green card application.

Yes, it should work if it has transactions around the area where you live from the time you listed in your application.

Prof of residency has nothing to do with your bank statement. When uscis asks for proof of residency, it means, they want a copy of your i94 profing that you have been legaly in the country. I didnt send anything related to bank,house, mortage, blah blah blah.
