nati309, you can have both the applications simultaneously but as soon as one is approved withdraw the other one, if you don't CIS will deny it anyways. I don't think it will cause any harm when you apply for a citizenship. Good luck

I think your attorney throwing an excuse because he never filed the application. I don’t think CIS would rejects cases just because you didn’t include the medicals, they rather send you a letter to mail the medicals
