    My interview....I can't believe it!!!

The clock starts the day they receive your application. They received it on June 24 which you confirmed to be early by one day. The only thing you can do at this time is wait for the rejection or denial letter and reapply again since you originally failed to meet the eligibility requirements.

    Citizenship Eligibilty

Comparing filing exactly 90 days before accumulating the required continuous residency to filing after returning to the same service area after a long trip is fallacious. It's been shown that on some occasions filing exactly 90 days before accumulating the required continuous residency can...

    Citizenship Interview but no file

You need to be patient. Give it at least 30-45 days before you launch an inquiry with an IO over the phone or via Infopass.

    Misdemeanors & Citizenship

You'll need to disclose and provide court documents of both incidences. Consult a good lawyer to go over your reckless driving case in California to determine whether it qualifies as a CIMT.

You would indicate it under part 2 D of application.

    Form G-884

A valid passport is not a requirement for naturalization, although an officer may request to see it at interview. File the G-884 to request your original passport, but don't delay your application because of it. If you don't get passport back before interview, tell the IO that you have applied...

    N-400 interview denial plzz help

Did you specify on your application that you are applying under the remedy of 8 CFR 316.5(c)(1)(ii)? Unless you specify this, the IO may not automatically take it into consideration.

That assumes that citizenship is firmly tied to country and residence. Does the intend of moving abroad immediately after naturalization make anyone less of a USC than someone who chooses to spend the rest of their life in the US. Likewise, does waiting 1 - 2 years to move after naturalization...

As I understand, the previous law first had a 5 year requirement, which was reduced to 1 year and then finally repealed. What is a reasonable middle ground? "Foreseeable future"?

In addition, provide a short, sensible and balanced statement as an overview to your proposal. "Reinforce patriotism and block the unworthy from weakening the United States" doesn't sound very professional. No offense BigJoe5, but keep your emotions to yourself if you expect to gain traction on...

    Having problems with USCIS

For what it's worth, has your husband and brother also tried contacting the USCIS ombudsman to investigate their cases? http://www.dhs.gov/files/programs/editorial_0497.shtm

Since a similar rule was repealed in 1994, wouldn't such a provision put enforceability into question or is it merely meant as a symbolic gesture?

    Shoplifting case in N-400 Application

Pleading YES to the lesser offense does not preclude you from demonstrating GMC, but it can still be used to evaluate overall GMC. Unless you have something else in your history that would put GMC into question, the incident alone does not preclude you from naturalization.

    Shoplifting case in N-400 Application

It depends what you get rejected for. If it's for lack of GMC, in your case you can reapply immediately since the reduced charge does not preclude you from establishing GMC.

    Having problems with USCIS

I suggest they contact their local congressperson to get involved with their case. There was a similar story several months ago of a US veteran who ran into difficulty in getting his citizenship papers eventhough his US military records showed he was a US citizen...

N400 with arrest record for shoplifting

The part about probation would relate to you. Since you're no longer on probation, you are not precluded from demonstrating GMC.
