Form G-884

Do you have any info on how long it takes for the USCIS to respond to the form G-884?

I guess no one went through this form.

please advice me on this:
while I was in removal proceedings they took my passport and never gave it back to me. I asked to get it back but the IO said after I get my GC I can take my passport. I got my GC but didn't ask to get the passport back. I never had travel since I got my GC. Should I file form G-884 and get the passport back ( I don't know how long it takes also my file will be moving because I submitted my N400)? or just go to the interview without my passport ( how can I prove that I never travelled outside the US?)?

BTW: I can't get a passport from the embassy because I don't even have a copy of the passport, neglegence on my part but I though I wouldn't need it.

Any help will be appreciated.

A valid passport is not a requirement for naturalization, although an officer may request to see it at interview. File the G-884 to request your original passport, but don't delay your application because of it.
If you don't get passport back before interview, tell the IO that you have applied for G-884 (make a copy of application and show it to IO as evidence). Good luck!
