Hi, Just wanted to inform everyone my I-140 EB-2 NIW got approved.
My EB-1 EA was denied earlier because of lack of citations (I had 25 citations when I had applied EB-1)
I am Indian so can't apply for AOS but atleast I can extend H-1B beyond six years.
GChopes:
I am just stating what I got from the USCIS:
publications alone is insufficient to establish the importance or influence of the published material.
Citations matter to both 5 and 6. For 5 you have to have in addition to citations the other stuff that I mentioned in my previous...
For number 6, just having papers doesn't mean everything. Quality of publications/impact factor needs to be emphasized too. I was told since I don't have minimal citations (about 25 out of the loop at the time of petition), i was told i don't satisfy that criteria.
For number 5: I was told...
Sigma Xi: I was told, by laws do not indicate that this association requires outstanding achievements of its members.
I had used posters as display of art: I was told that this criterion is not applicable to the petitioner's field. It is for visual artists such as sculptors and painters...
Nilendr: I did premium processing.
GC-Hopes: I had a high-profile attorney.
FOM: I am speaking to my lawyer tomorrow.
I was just curious what are the minimum number of citations that are needed. I included web of science which has 30 citations on my name. google scholar had 40 but I...

The Immigration officer had asked me to provide statements from independent investigators who had cited my work in the RFE. And then just rejected those letters stating that they were solicited for an immigration petition and carried...
So my petition got denied. I am not quite sure if I should appeal about it. What do you guys suggest? Before I filed my application I was told by a few people that they had similar credentials and did get EB-1 EA approved.
The USCIS only agreed with me being a judge of the work of others.
The...
I received RFE for my case (kindly see my earlier posts to check for my credentials):
I was told the evidence as a whole is not sufficient:
1. I was asked to explain my undergraduate awards.....
My lawyer mentioned my travel awards in passing, we never claimed this criteria.
2. Asked for...
Thanks for the reply. I checked your credentials which are very good. I am surprised your application was rejected the first time around. The same application can be assessed differently depending upon the reviewer (it can be so subjective). I hope I get a good reviewer :)
But anyways I am...
when did you get the e-mail or letter staying that you got the approval?
Do you mind sharing your credentials? I see that you had applied for NSC earlier but got rejected. How was your application that you sent to TX different from NSC?
Thanks
quick question?
you applied for EA and NIW and for that you don't really need proof of employment. Why did you get RFE for employment letter, paystubs?
