Yes, the OCI Registration # is the same as U-Visa number except the OCI Registration # starts with "A"(It could be different alphabet in your case). So instead of entering 1XXXX4 in U-Visa number I entered A1XXXX4 in the OCI Registration # field and that matched the database. Hope this helps.

This has happened to many of my friends who had applied for EXPEDITED processing but the status shows as routine. Give it like a week or so and your status should show up as EXPEDITED. There seems to be a problem with the online passport status.

Now that your application has been acknowledged, just chill. There is no need to worry. Wait for 2 weeks or so then your status will change to "Granted" if there are no issues. Relax and let your application work its way through the system. That's all I can say. :)
