Hi Folks,
I have dreamt of posting this message for soOO long. :)
My wife's and my i-485 got approved today. We got 2 emails - one for each - at around 5 PM today.
My 'journey' started in 5/2001 as EB2 and went thru all the possible hiccups one can face on the way to the GC.
All this...
pending with officer = assigned to officer.
That's what I have been told when I asked the TSC IO for clarification on what "pending with officer" means.
Just have a quick question about the info I got from the TSC IO:
Here's what I asked her:
Name check? - completed
Security Check? - completed
What is the status of my case (where is it now?) - she said it's 'pending with an officer'. I asked for clarification and she said it's assigned...
no luck talking to TSC rep ...
BTW, I tried the "POJ style steps" above just now.
The steps upto this point are correct:
Call 1-800-375-5283.
Then choose 1-2-2-6-1
Enter your receipt no
Then -1
Listen to blah blah blah
But after that there seems - I am not sure though - to be one...
re: silver lining ...
You are right istrategist! It's important to see the silverlining.
My case started in mid 2001 as EB2 and look where I am after 6 years (yes, now I am in EB3 now - and more importantly I never changed the job and ofcourse i-485 not yet approved.) Some of my colleagues...
congrats rvepra! Celebrate for a couple of days before you move on to your next troubles (like citizenship etc) :) The 5 year anniversary of your gc card approval is right around the corner :)
VSC->TSC: got FP2 notice 5/3/07 (FP1 done Mar 05)
My case was xferred from VSC to TSC just like most of you folks in mid March 2007.
Just today I recvd FP2 notice on May 3 2007.
Thanks for the replies ...
