You got the green card to permanently live in the US. That is what you do to maintain it. You can visit other countries for short periods (few months) but if you start living in another country, you abandon your GC. Getting a paycheck or even owning a house in US will not matter if you are not...

I never said that. Earning money from your investments as a passive investor is different than working for a foreign company and making money. When you said brother will be sending money, I assumed this is her share of profit from the company and not pay based on her working for the company.

To best of my knowledge, she will not be considered as being employed here. So she is not violating here H4 status, but she is earning money on her foreign investments. She will need to report it on her tax return and pay taxes. You may want to check with a CPA to be sure.
