I don't think you can adjust your status. Be very careful before you file with the USCIS. As far as I know, people who came to the USA on a visa waiver program and overstayed are not eligible for AOS, only people with visas are. And I read many posts on this forum where visa waiver applicants...
Thanks Baikal. The reason for filing "married separately" is because my wife has some student loans that we were not been to pay and the agencies want to garnish my wife's wages and the amount they can take out of her paycheck dePends on her 2010 tax return. So we really needed to file out taxes...
Hi guys, im preparing my N400 package based on a marriage to a US citizen after 3 years permanent residency and have a couple questions to ask.
1. Do I still need to include utility bills and joint credit cards and bank statements with my N400? I'm planning to submit just our tax transcripts...
To Baikal3: I don't know. I heard that Arizona and few other states do require proof of citizenship when dealing with law enforcement. I live in MI, but I do travel on business around the US, so I could be potentially asked to prove my citizenship.
I see. Well hope it will work. The reason why I asked is that I read somewhere that a US born citizens speaking with no accent were arrested in AZ for not being able to prove their citizenship because they had "just DL and their SS card".
Hi guys, I will be filing soon my N400 and just wondering: How does one prove US citizenship once he is Naturalized? Assuming that people who are not on their way out of the US would not normally carry their US passport or the Naturalization certificate. If they get stopped by a law enforcement...
The notice (797) that they received your petition to remove condition has a wrong number. I had the same problem. Once you receive a letter from uscis inviting you for your fingerprints appointment, it will have a different number and that will be actualy the number you want to use to check on...
Actually your sisters condition will slow down the process. Not speed it up. This is not a socialist or christian society. Charity is not what you will find dealing with the US govt. The govt. is doing all they can to prevent people that will become a burden on society from coming to the US...
Why do you bother with I131? She has a green card right? So she can come and go as she pleases as long as she doesn't stay longer than 6 months outside of the USA. Right?
I think the process is the same like for anyone else. File i130, I485 and all the other forms along with it. Get a lawyer.
But I don't think you thought it through. What's going to happen after she arrives in the USA? What if she needs medical treatment or spend some time in the hospital? The...
