How's the BCIS law issue going?

If I were you, I wouldn’t be too optimistic about the law suit. If law suits could solve government’s problem, then we would have seen many similar lawsuits by now. It seems things are getting slower day by day but the process started long time ago. I hope I am wrong. ;)

    Please Post your Stamping experiences...

I haven't heard anybody having major problems getting the stamp. Once you get your approval, you are pretty much out of the hole. Photos, approval notice and I- 94 card are enough to get the stamp.

    Green Card!

When can I expect my green card? It varies. For some people I-485 is pending for about 2 1/2 years. Some people got it between one to one and half years. I would say currently it’s taking between one and half to two years on average. So, be patient, it might take a while.

USA PR moving back with US husband

Immigration officer might deny entry if he/she thinks that he is moving up there permanently. As an American citizen he can visit Canada without a visa as long as he intends to be there temporarily. At the boarder try not to tell the officer that your husband is moving there permanently.

Question on PR Holder re-entering to Canada by road…

    Birth Cirtificate

If you are going to get registered birth certificate from India, you might want to get two affidavits of birth from your close relatives as well. Some times BCIS refuses to accept birth certificates when it is registered so long after the actual birth and asks for affidavits of birth. If this...

    Wrong A#!!

If you are processing your papers through a lawyer, please bring this to his or her attention and seek advice. I don’t think using this card will constitute any problem as the mistake is in their side and you are authorized to work.
