I have to apply for 3rd EAD and 3rd AP for my family,
another 550.00$ is sent to INS.

I guess INS can make big money this way.

hope I do not have to pay another 550.00$ to them next year.

Truth of the matter is that INS does not make any money out of application fee. Fee is decided by calculating even the cost of pensil per application.

This is a big conpiracy to reduce immigration by delaying processing. Since every immigrant (once becomes citizen) brings on an average 20 persons through sponsoring relatives, delaying the approval by 3 year will substantially reduce number of new family based immigrants.

goodsaint,

if bcis is pencilling in the cost of pencils also, and does not make any money out of application fees, then it means to say that bcis is spending a few billion dollars every year on us potential immigrants....

then why is that bcis always gripes about lack of monetary resources for granting approvals. and why doesnt the bcis bring a few additional resources and grant us our aos approvals (albeit with a fee increase)

goodsaint, the truth is we are being cheated and this is the biggest conspiracy that is going on.

at the rate of my ap renewal approval (pending for more than 190 days), it looks like, i might have to file for my ap immediately after my ap approval. :o

If I remember correctly, the money that we pay does not go into BCIS's coffers directly. It goes to the federal goverment. The BCIS has an annual budget (funded by the federal government) which is not sufficient for it to cover its expenses. If you want to feel good about it, think of it this way, the money that you pay goes a small way in covering the hole in the federal budget.
