DV 2026 All Selectees (Consular Processing - CP)

Just an FYI - there are now UK winners for DV2026 as a result of the lawsuit.

However, in typical style the government have managed to screw up the simplest job and have created UK winners up to CRAZY high case numbers (highest so far almost 190K). Whilst DV2026 will be a roller coaster due to travel bans etc, I would NOT want UK cases over 50K to get too excited about their win. Whilst a region going "current" (meaning any case number is eligible for interview) is possible, I would say it is not likely given this development regarding UK cases.

So - if you have arrived here with high hopes, just take a breath before completing DS260s or filing I-485. The case number is very important and we need to know more before assuming the high case numbers will be able to process.

Hi everyone! I just received an email from the Sydney consulate asking me to confirm my interview within 24 hours however the only information I have been given is 'in/on November' and I have not received my 2NL? does anyone know the best course of action? I dont want to loose my spot/interview. I am also concerned about getting my police check and fingerprints back in time so I may need to reschedule it in any event. Does anyone know if rescheduling is ok or whether it puts me at the end of the queue? Any help would be great - I have called the phone number provided and I have only been given generic responses.

I just put 'time TBC'.

Take a look over at the 'Oceana OC 2026 Winners Thread' - a bunch of us received the same email today.

Where are you getting your police checks from? The Australian ones take just a few days so you should be fine if that's the only one you need.

Ok great I will have a look there thank you! I was under the impression I needed to get fingerprints done for the police check? Is that incorrect? I have previously done the online police check before and it comes back quickly so hopefully that is all that is needed!

I'm just finding out that the rules have changed since I got my checks done a couple of months ago. Apparently I'll have to do them again with fingerprints, as you say. Thank god for this forum..!

Hope the interviews are late in the month or there will be a lot of rescheduling!

Have you checked ESC page (https://dvprogram.state.gov/ESC/ )? It often glitches and doesn't keep up with scheduling, but that's the ultimate place where details about your interview end up.

Does anyone know what the process is for rescheduling a visa interview?
The process differs by consulate so you’d need to find out your specifics from them. It’s generally considered unwise as you may not get another interview for months, sometimes at all - there have been instances in past years of people seeing the fiscal year end before they can schedule a replacement interview. If you are lacking documentation it is therefore generally better to attend the interview and be put on AP until you can provide the documents. That said, some consulates - and Sydney is traditionally one of those - are better at rescheduling than others. In all cases, I would suggest first contacting the consulate to discuss specific details ie what problems the reason for rescheduling may create for the interview, and what their procedure for rescheduling and likely timeline for a new interview are.

Thank you - getting a hold of someone at the Sydney consulate is impossible but will keep trying that email address.

The problem though, is that the email we received says 'Your appointment will be cancelled if your documents are not received thirty (30) days before your interview'. The new Australian fingerprint rules mean most of us are unlikely to get them back in time to send them 30 days before our November interview. Do we think the consulate will still let us have the interview despite missing this document?

reschedule and I explained the fingerprint situation and the timeline. Hoping someone replies to me soon.

As expected, the government have announced that UK entries can now check their results, although we know they have messed up the draw.

Also they have announced that Cuban DV2026 winners are being contacted to inform them that they are NOT eligible to pursue their selection.

Hello guys,

I’m new here someone I know got selected on the DV2026, the DS260 is completed and their case is on current for October, but since they haven’t even opened the next DV lottery, I was wondering if anyone have already received the email scheduling for the interview already? Or does anyone know an estimate time of when that email could arrive?
We sent an email to the KCC on Saturday so hopefully we get some kind of update.
Thank you.

This partly depends what consulate you are interviewing at. Some people already have interview notices, yes. It may also depend on when the Ds260 was completed as there is still kcc processing that needs to be done after that. They schedule the interviews in monthly batches as well, so if completion/processing happened but you missed the monthly batch it may go into the next month’s lot..again depending on consulate.

I believe KCC is closed today (Monday) as it’s a federal holiday.

Thank you so much!!
They completed the form around in June.
And thanks for letting me know that, hopefully tomorrow or the next upcoming days they receive a notice from them.
