DV 2025 AOS (Adjustment of Status) Process Only

Hello, does anyone have information about how quickly or not the NYC office is? I saw only one case in the 2025 spreadsheet, and I wonder if anyone in this forum knows.
Take a look at some of the past Timeline spreadsheets also.

@Sm1smom Hi Mom, I have a question about the I-485 form. I'm currently pursuing my master’s degree and have had several research assistant experiences in my university both in the U.S. and back in my home country. I understand that Part 14 is used to provide additional information related to entries in Part 7.

My main question is about the formatting: Should we write the entries in Part 14 as short summary statements, or do they need to be more detailed? Also, should each box include only one piece of information, or is it okay to combine multiple related items in one section? Is there anything specific I should watch out for when completing this part?

For example, I included something like this in Part 14:

"Prior to this, I earned a BA in Psychology with high honors from----- in 2022. I worked as a Research Analyst at -----in Berlin (May–July 2022) and as a User Research Intern at ---------in -------- (Nov 2020–Feb 2022).”

I used the first section of Part 14 to summarize my most work experience, since there wasn’t enough space to include everything in the earlier sections, only my latest internship fit there. And in certificate part, I have 5-6 awards in my university, should I put them instead of certificates or it is not necessary?

Also, one more question: I previously applied for an EAD card and received an A-number, which is listed on the card. Should I enter that number in Part 1 of the I-485 form?

Hello mom, also one more question, I got an offer for an internship and will start working next week. My husband is not working, but he is getting money from his family, and actually, he might not need it after I start working, and we also have some savings. Do we need to include I-134?

1. If the additional information being provided in Part 14 is based on Part 7, then follow the format for Part 7. Remember, the form is not a resume or a cover letter for a job search.
2. List the A#.

Get an I-134 to be on the safe side. Your internship will not be an ongoing employment.

Congrats! Our cases are still stuck on "fingerprints were taken", just waiting.. fingers crossed.
My wife is primary selectee and we only have a copy of her high-school diploma, original document was left in occupied region, iow war zone
do you think that might be a problem or do they accept copies with no extra questions?
Also Seattle FO
Thank you very much!
I am not qualified enough to speculate on that particular issue, so I won't. However, one thing I have heard of is that our congresswoman's office in Seattle is very responsive regarding helping out with USCIS. If things get delayed further, you should try that avenue. Good luck!

1. Yes.
2. You wouldn’t have a USCIS online account number if USCIS did not previously send you a code with instructions to create an online account.
Hi! I also have a similar question.
Is the A number the same as USCIS# on OPT EOD Card?
Thanks again

Hello, I have a question for those that did early filing? Did you include an addendum or cover letter in your package to notify that you're doing early filing? Or can you just send your package normally?

Thank you @Sm1smom regarding the certification section, should we include our current and previous degrees, like a B.A. in Psychology? And should we include any awards or scholarships we've received? or only certificates and skills.

Take a look at the pre-filled sample I-485 to get an idea of what is expected.

While filling the Employment and Educational History within part 4 of i-485, my current university's name and most recent school outside US doesn't fit in given space. How do you suggest I approach this?

I was thinking, maybe I will could write the abbreviation in the form, and then in additional information, write the full form somehow. Would be great to hear some suggestions. Thanks.

Hello,
I’m 2025EU229xx. I completed my medical examination at the end of April and received an I-693 form with an edition date of 03/09/2023 (expiration date 03/31/2025 at the top right) from the civil surgeon. The civil surgeon told me that this is the only I-693 they have and that USCIS usually sends them the new edition.
According to the USCIS website:

If the civil surgeon signs your form on or before July 2, 2025, you must use the 03/09/23 or the 01/20/25 edition. Starting July 3, 2025, USCIS will accept only the 01/20/25 edition. You can find the edition date at the bottom of the page on the form and instructions.

I’m not sure if my I-693 is valid since the civil surgeon signed it before July 2, but I might submit it after July 2. I don’t know if I’ll become current in June or July. What should I do?
Thank you for your help.

Use the 1/20/25 edition to if filing on or after July 3, 2025.

So, does this mean that if, hypothetically, I send my AOS package after the next bulletin–let's say on June 20th–I'm still good with the old edition? Even if it's considered an early filing and they will make a decision on my case in August? Also, can the civil surgeon complete another I-693 form even if they've already completed one?

1. If the Lockbox receives AND accepts your AOS package on or before July 2nd, your current medical report will be acceptable regardless of when the application gets adjudicated.
2. The CS will be willing to complete as many medical reports as you wish as long as you’re willing to pay for them.

1. How can I be sure that the lockbox will receive and accept my AOS package by July 2nd if I send it around June 20th? It just seems risky, do you agree?
2. I know that the CS will be willing to complete as many medical reports as I need, but I was wondering if he will request another payment after the first one I already made

Only your civil surgeon will be able to answer that for you.

If you think it’s risky, have them fill the new version and pay the (potential) bill.

I understand and empathize with your frustration. It is unfortunate you misunderstood the update on USCIS's website where it says "Effective April 4, 2024, any Form I-693 that was properly completed and signed by a civil surgeon on or after Nov. 1, 2023, does not expire. You can use it indefinitely as evidence that you are not inadmissible on health-related grounds. For more information, see the Policy Alert." - the indefinite evidentiary value being referenced is with regards to a medical form that has already been submitted (you would have seen this if you had gone through the link with the Policy Alert). It is not applicable to a completed but yet to be submitted medical form.

I did point out the possibility of the exact scenario you've found yourself in, in this post to another forum member back in February. Interestingly, you posted an unrelated question right below that particular post. I guess if you had read that post, or this other one which I posted on April 2nd, you would have been aware of the fact that all USCIS forms, including the medical report form, get updated on an on-going basis.
Thank you for your answer, Mom. I am really frustrated. The process took so long, we have been still waiting, and every day is another stress. So we make some mistakes eventually.

While making a research about it, I found this link: https://www.uscis.gov/newsroom/aler...le-for-civil-surgeon-signatures-on-form-i-693

Is this still a valid policy? So if I early file my AOS package in June and if they process it before July 2nd, then they have to accept my i693 without any issue, right? And should I print this page and attach my i693 envelope to make sure that they are aware of the policy and they should accept it?
