Alternatively, you still showing up at the ASC (as scheduled) and explain the situation to see what they say. But before heading out, I would recommend having another chat with Emma to confirm the bio scheduled data/time, then print out that chat and take it to your ASC as proof of effort made to get the bio notice.

Good lord you just saved my life. I just pushed the date for a few days and I was able to download the notice. Did the same for my wife as well. THANK YOU.

I was just wondering why hasn't the online status changed AT ALL, is this something I should worry about? I was able to solve this problem but what if it happens again with the interview dates?

I will gladly fill it out but could you shoot me the link, please?

This is why I keep telling folks to carefully go over the AOS process spreadsheet where all these have been mostly covered. There’s usually no status update when the bio or IL gets mailed out.

Links to the AOS process spreadsheet or the Timeline spreadsheet can be found in the signature section of any of my posts, or on the first post on page one of this thread.

When rescheduling bio, it will allow selecting a new appointment on the spot and download the new letter, no need for approval on their end?

Thank you! I assume you just did it? How long exactly did it take and where did it show? I am wondering as the case is not directly on the account and I can e.g. not download the NOA like it’s possible for IOE cases.

You can add the case very easily to your account. All you need is your receipt number, I believe you have it?

You find the reschedule bio option under MyAccount (top right). Read everything there and you will know everything you need to know. The whole rescheduling thing is very simple. I got my new letter in like 15 minutes after my request submission.

Our lockbox delivery was 16 days ago. We did get an SMS, but no NOA. My wife, who is a primary applicant, had her status change to "ready to be scheduled for interview". Update on my case. I was able to reach USCIS agent through Emma and get a date for both of our biometric appointments. We didn't get any letters from USCIS. I rescheduled our appointments for tomorrow.
 
Hi, I have a few questions

Should I put my name on the back of the passport-type photos I will send in my AOS package?

Should I put my alien number on my check to pay the filing fee?
 
Has anyone heard anything about what might happen to this program and current applicants now that Trump is the president? processing time, denial rate, etc? especially since he tried to stop it back in 2017 :\
 
Hi Mom. For some reason we are not getting any mail from USCIS. At this point, we were supposed to get two letters (NOA and Bio). We got none. I was able to reschedule biometrics for both me and my wife and we completed it successfully today.

While talking to Emma agent, I asked to confirm our mailing address. It was correct, except it said "APT" instead of "Unit" (since that was the only option you can choose on I-485). I don't think that would be the reason we are not getting any mail, but clearly there is some reason. What I'm worried about is that now we wouldn't know if or when our interview gets scheduled. Do you think there's anything we can do?

Is it true that if I attended my CP interview and no decision has been made on the case, one can no longer do AOS within the US?

what do you mean no decision has been made? Are you in administrative processing? There is always a decision made, sometimes it takes a while

anyway yes if kcc has sent your file to a consulate and it’s being processed it can’t send it for aos as well

1. Per the I-485 form instruction, "using a pencil or felt pen, lightly print your name and A-Number (if any) on the back of the photo".
2. How to write your check:

A filing fee is required for many immigration forms. If you do not submit the correct fee, we will reject your form.

the AIW from the bio states that the applicant will reaffirm all the information provided in the form.
if a change happened in between, e.g. employment, would I have to mention that, or does it refer to the information in the form as of the date signed originally?

Also, I did not put the names on the back of the pictures, will this cause an RFE or not an issue?

Maybe USPS is returning your mail back to USCIS as undeliverable. Is your name listed on your mailbox? If it is not, I recommend you print out your names and stick them on your mailbox, USPS sometimes return USCIS correspondence back to sender if the addressee's name is not on the mailbox. I have no idea as to why they do that. In the interim you can contact USCIS and e-file a non delivery of notice report.

That is correct. Like the proverbial saying, you can't eat your cake and still have it intact.

1. You re-affirm the information presented on the screen when you show up for your bio.
2. Name on the back of the pictures is meant to assist with easy identification should in case the picture get separated from the rest of the package at any point.

Nothing besides the ASC bio notice and valid ID (DL/passport) must be brought to the appointment?

I have a CP interview going to be scheduled in Montreal this January (probably sometime around Trump's inauguration lol - my CN is treading the current numbers). I am concerned about 221g/DS-5535 because it's Montreal. If that drags out and Trump shuts down the embassies, it's game over for me. Can I have another relief where I enter the US and do AOS? I understand the implications of immigrant intent.

In one of the FAQs on the AOS spreadsheet, it says I can ask the consulate to send my file the USCIS Field Office. Can I still do that with a pending 221g/DS-5535 post interview in MTL? Technically, it sounds like yes. I enter the US, I ask the MTL embassy to please send the file to the USCIS FO and carry over the jurisdiction?

If not, can I just ask KCC to do AOS instead of CP, skip the CP interview, and then do AOS months later when I'm ready to enter the US during the FY? I'm sorry but I'm in a huge pickle and need some advice. I am in borderline dangerous territory with this.
