I agree, you shouldn't be waiting for your wife's visa. You should send back your passport right away since there's an error on yours also. Be sure to include a clear note of explanation when you send back your passport.

Good luck!

I will wait for my wife's visa.

Ok, your choice.

But I think you may be in for a long wait. You cannot even use your own visa as is. IMO, there's already cause to be concerned, since (1) your visa was issued and your wife's wasn't; (2) yours was issued with you listed as "Single" when you clearly applied and attended the interview as married. The earlier their attention is drawn to these issues, the sooner the mystery sorrounding your case gets resolved. Of course, these are just my opinions, you should go by your gut feelings and decide on your best course of action.

I wouldn't wait and I wouldn't just send it back either - I would call the embassy to speak to someone and explain the error to find out what the best and fastest course of action is.

I will wait for my wife's visa.

So, it looks like your interview took place at the US Embassy, Ankara

That embassy has provided guidance on what to do if there's an error on an issued visa:

WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I NOTICE THAT MY VISA HAS AN ERROR OR INCORRECT INFORMTATION ON IT?
Please contact us by phone or e-mails soon as possible and request an appointment to bring your visa packet and passport (with the visa in it) back to our office between 08:30AM and 5:00PM, Monday through Friday

Acting on yours should also give you an opportunity to find out what's going on with your wife's visa/passport.

Thank you for your efforts to help me.

I read that part too and i tried to contact them. but they are so busy and yesterday i waited on the line for 1 hour and could not talk to anybody. i just can call between 15:30 and 16:30 (for immigrant visas)

By the way my wife's visa is on the way at the moment.

And i think that her visa is going to be without errors. it will write "MAR" on marital status of her visa.

I can figure out what happened. On my form when i sent it to Kentucky, i was single. Then i married and sent the forms to ANKARA as married and sent my forms also as married.

When they issued visa to me, they used old form and that's why it writes "SNG". my wife's visa will write "MAR" bc she had just one form.

Yes people.

My wife's visa doesn't have errors. Her marital status is "MAR" :)

It is how i guessed.

I think everything will be allright. it will just take sometime ( flights are getting more expensive day by day :D )

My wife called me and made my day today :)

My wife : "You are not single. You know that. Right? "
:D
