6 Weeks After Check Cashed - No email Notification or Case Number

Check was cashed about 6 weeks ago and no further notification from USCIS. All I have is an order number and when I login to check my case status it simply says "Payment received - processing".

This seems like an abnormally long time to wait for such a thing, so obviously something is up. Is my only option to request an infopass appointment?

Edit - Can I even make an infopass appointment without a receipt number?

You should have received a notice letter by now. Schedule an Infopass to determine your case number and status. When scheduling an Infopass enter a random number. you don't need a valid case number to schedule an appointment.

Which of the 4 categories do I file under - the last one - service request?

You indicate that you have some kind of number that brought up the "payment rec'd..." info. Is that NOT a receipt number?

Did your check bounce and have to be re-deposited?

The account login is through usaimmigrationsupport.com. The application status says "payment received processing". That's all.

It also says "waiting for payment to clear" but the amount has been deducted from my bank account. It shouldn't take 6 weeks to process payment and move onto the next step.

You appear to have used a commercial website and NOT an official USCIS government site. I hope you have not been ripped off. So many con-artists are out there to take advantage of people. See www.uscis.gov for the real government website and info about how to file and fees and such.

Maybe you used a real service provider to do something you could have done yourself? Maybe you have been conned? Any reputable service would have filed your forms for you much quicker and you would have something by now.

There have been many complaints logged against that site. You are likely the victim of a scam or dishonest business.

All I did was fill out the form through this site, printed it off, and filed the documents directly with USCIS. The check was also made out to USCIS. Now that I think about it, how would this site track the status of my case at all? USCIS wouldn't update them on it. If I filed directly with USCIS with no word from them in 6 weeks, something else must be up. I made an infopass appointment with them for next week.

*Edit - no payment was made to this website. I only used it to get the form.

By opening an account with usaimmigrationsupport.com and filing out the form you provided them your private information.
What address did you send your application to?

Check should have been made out to "United States Department of Homeland Security" Not "USCIS".
Hope you didn't fall vitim to some crooks. I wish you luck.

And they are even being bold about it ... Once you say you are an official site, no one reads the rest of the sentence.

==> This is the official US Immigration Organization web site.

As others said, it depends on where you sent your check.

[ADD] It is actually funny, they even warn people and advise them not to fall for scams wherein some other company gets money which they are supposed to scam.

I have not gone through the registration, and I hope they just take a few dollars and forward the application, but all signs are bad.

The check was made out to Homeland Security - no payment was made to this site. I Spoke to usaimmigration.com and they said they can't update me on the status of my case at all - which now makes sense seeing as they have no access to my file. I only used the site to get the forms for the N-400 (I should have just used the USCIS site).

So, the problem still remains. It's been 6 weeks and USCIS hasn't given me any updates. So, I scheduled the infopass for next week. I'll update this thread after I speak to them.

Be sure to bring proof of identity, date of birth, A# (greencard), passport (if any), country of birth, something with current address, SSN, They can run a variety different search criteria to locate your N-400 (if they rec'd one). It is always possible that some piece of information was written incorrectly OR data entered incorrectly and the case got hung up (or something as simple as the wrong address was entered--a typo in the zip code at data entry can bring up the wrong city/state combo).

Good luck!

The size of the picture was wrong. FML.

I went to a passport place and told them I needed it for citizenship, but apparently they gave me the wrong size. You'd think USCIS could at least let you know there is a tiny error and can't process it. No, they just leave you in the dark completely and then treat you like shit for making the error. Well, the file is now being processed and I'll receive NOA and FP details next week.

Check every last single detail of your application before sending it in or you're screwed.

Just consider the form instructions as "part of the test".

Quick question:

I am traveling to Canada for Labor Day Weekend. I just want to confirm that there are no restrictions on short, one-time trips outside the US. Thanks.

It's now been two weeks since my infopass appointment and they said I would be receiving the letter within a week. This is ridiculous. USCIS sucks...just give me
the damn letter already - it's been two months since I first submitted my N-400...how long do I have to wait again before I need ANOTHER infopass appt?
