Need some help & guidance.

I am a GC holder (Received in Aug 2007). Due to family circumstances, I had to go to my native country in March 2008. I came in March 2009 & stayed here for 1 month & returned.Then in March 2010 I have returned to the US and continuing my stay here.

Question -
1. When can I apply for Naturalization/Citizenship? Which month? I am confused since some people say I can do in 2012 Auguet & some say in 2013 Oct. Please clarify.
 
The length of both trips and what US residential ties you had at the time will determine when you can apply.
 
Read 8 CFR 316.5 (c)(1) both parts (i) and (ii). If you cannot rebutt the presumption, then wait it out. When gone from March 2008 to March 2009, was it a full year or more? If yes then you MUST wait it out. The question is WHEN you have to start waiting from.

You need to provide more details to get a substantive answer to your question. What was the exact length of each of the 2 trips? What exactly was the purpose of the trips? What kind of employment and residential ties with the U.S. did you have during the trips? Did you take a job abroad during the trips? Also, was your green card based on the marriage to a U.S. citizen spouse or on some other grounds?
