I am on H1 and i am planning to do marriage ( on phone or just document) without any wedding function. I even dont go to my country for that.. My question in such situation can i sponsor my wife and call her here ?

My major concern is i dont want to go back home on H-1 as i am afraid of Hi stamping process .. But i have to get married this year give me some suggestions please

A proxy marriage will not be accepted for immigration purposes unless it is later consummated before filing an immigrant petition UNLESS the USC petitioner is on active duty in the U.S. military.

(35) The term ``spouse'', ``wife'', or ``husband'' do not include a spouse, wife, or husband by reason of any marriage ceremony where the contracting parties thereto are not physically present in the presence of each other, unless the marriage shall have been consummated (except for failure to consummate the marriage caused by physical separation due to the service abroad of one of the contracting parties in an active-duty status in the Armed Forces of the United States).
