Hello everyone,
It has been about two months since I did my biometrics and almost three months since filing the application and I haven't received an interview letter and not even a yellow letter. I called the 1-800.. # and they told me that I am in que or a waiting list. Has anyone had a similar experience? Any suggestions? Thanks.

Some DO's are slower than the others, Naturalization requires extensive checks and they just might be working on those.
I don't think you can do anything at this time except wait for the IL.

hang in there pal, hopefully you will get it very soon
it has been 3 month since you filed it and they say the process should take 5 month.

thanks guys, let me ask you this:
1-Would an infopass appointment be useful now or should i wait?
2-Generally speaking, is interview scheduled based on priority date or based on when you completed biometrics?

Thanks again for your input.

1) Infopass will be able to give you more specifics about you case, such as if your background checks are pending. However, the same info can be obtained by talking to IO over phone via 1-800 number.

2) Interview is generally scheduled according to completion of background check.

When I called the 1-800 number, I talked to an IO who told me that I was in que to be scheduled for an interview but an interview spot is not available yet. But now its been two months and I haven't even received the yellow letter.

I am actually getting really worried that I haven't received any updates since FP. Even if an interview has not been scheduled yet, is it normal not to even receive the yellow letter for that long?

Yes, I called again and I received the same response that I was placed in que for an interview and that processing time is 5 months and I am still within processing times. What I really do not understand is even if I was placed in that que for interview shouldn't I have received a yellow letter by now? Also, by looking at other timelines from my DO, I see that they dont wait for that long after fingerprinting to get interview letters? Should I schedule an infopass now or should I wait? Your suggestions are appreciated.

Same here or worse. I filed my application on June 28th 2010 and got my FP done on August 4th. Got a yellow notice 2 months ago but no idea yet about FP date. Been calling them and has been talking to Level 1 and Level 2 representatives and get answers like they are reading from some book. Absolutely helpless a situation. Does anyone know how to escalate this further?

No infopass appointment available

Schedule an Infopass to determine the status of your case.

Ok, I tried to schedule an infopass appointment at local office on the USCIS website and after entering the required information and clicking "continue", I received a message that says that there are no available information appointments in that office. I tried again the next day and same thing happened.....:confused:

What can I do now???

Try some other option if the option you selected did not work out. Select you want to talk to an immigration officer about Blah ablaaaaaa.....something. Please don't panic. It's normal if you are especially in Fairfax office area. They are slow but it does not mean that there are something wrong in your case. Just try other option in INFOPASS and get an appointment. Go and talk to the officer. It is only for your peace of mind. They would not say anything than that the person at 1800 number. Please wait... be patient.... they are working on your case.
