Hi All,
My Fiancee is a US citizen by virtue of her Parents. She has a US passport but, they never had applied
for her naturalization untill Jan 2010. So, right now she is waiting for the finger prints and oath. We have
not heard back from USCIS on how long it will take untill she gets her naturalization.
I am on H1B visa and my 6 years of visa is expiring on Nov 2010. So, that leaves me only 6 more months
untill I can legally stay in USA. Here are my questions and concerns on what can happen if we get married now and apply for my GC ?
1. Will that affect or delay her naturalization process in any way?
2. Is her naturalization a show stopper for my gc ?
3. What is latest I can apply for the GC before my visa expires ?
4. Lastly a very dumb question. She was born in Kuwait and her mother is from Pakistan. .She has travelled
to Pakistan and it is stamped on her passport. I am a hindu from India. Considering the tense situations
these days and strict rules should I be concerned about it ?
Much Thanks for your time and information!
