Expired Passports for N400 Interview

Hi question - do we need to carry our expired passports for the interview?

I have a expired passport(almost 9 years old), but I can't find it now..

Your foreign passport may be asked for at interview, but it is not a hard requirement.

I have my current passport(which I use for travel - Indian), I was asking about my "expired" Indian passport.. which I have misplaced.

If you have misplaced it, you have misplaced it. Should not be a show stopper.

Yes, you are. USCIS asks you about it in the document checklist I received with my interview notice. However, if you don't have it, simply state so.
