I have a issue. Hope I'll get some advice in the forum.
I went for citizenship interview and during the interview process the Officer said that she will issue my Naturalization Certificate with a different last name ( the one that's matching my birth certificate, which was missing a letter). I said ok without even thinking for a second, under an assumption I can change it using a name change form. I had the Oath on the same day done. Seems to be not that easy. Now I have all my other documents with a correct last name and my Naturalization Certificate with a different last name (The only change in the last name is a missing letter). Please advise. Not sure how I can approach the problem. Not sure if I can apply for a name change in a court?. Do I need to talk to a Immigration attoney or a regular attoney since its a name change in the court?
