Quick question about fees...

I read at visajourney.com the following:

"The fee for I-485 applications filed on or after July 30th 2007 inlcudes the cost of the I-131 and I-765 (no need to pay for them if filed with or while your I-485 application is pending adjudication -- as long as you paid the "new" rate for the I-485 effective July 30th 2007)."

However on the uscis.gov site says the fee for form I-765 is $340, the fee for I-131 is $350 (although I wont apply for that) and the fees for form I-485 are $930 + $80 = $1,010.

So my question is: do I have to include both fees ($340 + $1,010)? also, do I have to make separate money orders for each form or can I just add one for the total fees of all forms?

Thanks in advance

the fees for EAD and AP are included in I-485 fee, if the EAD and AP are filed based on AOS.

I-765 form, an application for EAD. may be based on something else, like optional practical training for F-1 students. Obviously, it wouldn't be connected to adjustment of status.

I-131 form is also used for other travel documents not connected to AOS, for example, a reentry permit.

Ok, got a little confused there. Sorry about that. Let me explain my case. My husband entered as a visitor but overstayed, so I'm applying for adjustment of status. I've been researching and trying to get this right for a couple of days, but sometimes i get confused.

In our case, we're not applying for advance parole, we rather wait till he gets his GC so he can travel. But I want to know if by sending the I-765 along with the I-485, the fees for I-765 are included in the $1,010 for I-485.

Sorry if I seem redundant. Oh and another thing... Do I have to send separate money orders to cover fees for each forms or can I just make one for the total?

Thanks again

yeah, THAT, sorry .. I just wanted to make sure if he has to pay those fees or not, cause we're trying to get this right.

Somebody correct me if I am wrong..

Its 1010 + 355 for you regardless if u chose not to apply for 131..(assuming you are applying for 765 + 485 which is $ 1010 and $355 for I-130)..

I sent them both $1010 and $340 and they returned my $340

$1010= I-485 includes bio metrics and I-765 & I-131 (whether you're filing
these forms or not) and $355= I-130 so it's 2 checks one 1010 & one 355

I'm in the same situation as your husband, I'm overstayed my visit too. I'll be applying for my GC soon too, hope everything goes well for you & your husband!
