So I received my passport, which for me personally means that my journey has truly come to an end now. I updated my SSN and DL last week already and I also registered to vote. This forum has been of great help to me during the process and I am very grateful to all contributors to this forum. I hope all of you get processed fast. Thank you again!!!!!

Thanks for the kind words! I'm actually planning on filing a WOM to compel the USCIS to process my application based on the 10 month timeframe that they posted for summer 2007 applicants from NYC. In fact, a part of me actually hopes that I don't get my IL by July 4 (10 month anniversary of my application - ironic, isn't it?), so that I could stick it to those bastards in court. Ah well, we shall see!

Lastnite...the entire nite I dreamt about this USCIS process... I was interviewed by an African American Lady... she seemed to be disinterested and had plan to reject my case. It was raining and we moved from one building to another as there was no space for us.... She then started my interview.... I started my BS and talked about how happy I am and talked about what I have gone through.. talked about my family and everything when she asked me something that I didnt' have answer for... I think at the end I passed the interview and now I am waiting for my Oath... I guess I will see that tonite.

You mentioned that you updated your Driver's License? I never heard of that being a requirement after getting citizenship.
I never knew there was any link between driver's license and citizenship.
Some states even give licenses to illegal aliens.
What exactly needs to be updated in your DL once you become a citizen?

Thank you all for all the kind words. Trust me I know I got lucky with my fairly speedy application and I do certainly feel for everyone who is still anxiously waiting for their journey to finally be over with. Hang in there, your time will come! Hopefully sooner then later!
