K1 Visa with Green Card

I am Australian citizen with a partner who is currently in the US.
She has been working there for over a year on a company sponsored
H1B Visa.. She is now going to be there a while longer and is
looking at getting her green card. My question is, are we able to
apply for the K1 Visa if she is not a US Citizen and only a Green
Card Holder?. I know the Green Card grants the person alot of
living and working entitlements but does it allow for the petition
of a K1 Visa ? I am obviously very stressed about this whole
situation.
 
Why don't you get married now before she files for the GC? You can enter the US in H4 status and then both of you apply for adjustment of status based on her GC petition.
