Last EAD on applied in 2002 on F1 status, applying now for pending AOS for H1B status

Hi folks,

I have approved I-140 and applied my I-485 on March'08 and got the receipt number from NSC on April 6th'08. I did not file for EAD along with I-485 as the lawyer was asking for $340 for legal fees. Now I want to e-file for my EAD and found this forum very helpful. I have 2 questions.

1. Should I file it to NSC or TSC (I reside in NY)?

2. Also, the last time I used my EAD was in 2002, which I obtained through OPT after I graduated. Please advise, if I should refer to the old EAD while filling up the I-765. My concern here is: the previous EAD I used in 2002 was for F1 status and the current one I want to apply for is for pending AOS.

3. I paid $1010.00 to USCIS while applying for I-485 that includes fees for EAD. Should I pay anything now while applying online?

Your feedback will be highly appreciated.

Yes you have to refer to it in the line of previous EADs and include a photocopy for the old one whatever its category was

Thank you so much for your prompt response.
I was going through the USCIS website and I could not decide whether I can file for my I-765 electronically. Do you have any idea?

Thanks.

Actually although it's a common thought that you should apply for I-765 wherever your I-485 is (and that usually seems to work, although sometimes not), in your case you might want to consider paper-filing at Texas because 1- That's where you're actually required to file according to the direct filing rules based on your geographic location (see the I-765 instruction PDF online) and 2- TSC is usually faster than NSC.
