Hi:

I have asylee status.

If my borther applies for non-immigrant visa back home in my COP, does the USA embessy give him a visa or not?
Does my asylee status will negatively effect for the embessy's decision.

In visa application my brother will indicate that his brother is in USA, and his brother's status is asylee.

Or should my brother apply for a visa after i get a green card.

Feedback: My brother has never been in the USA.
My COP: Former USSR.
Purpose of his visit: To visit me.
Sponsor: I will be a sponsor, i have over 70k annual salary.

Thanks for your feedback.

Your brother is a man of his own.
Mentioning your asylee status would have no effect to it, it is not going to help him, it is not going to hurt your case either.
The amount of your annual salary has no effect to his temporary visa visit application.
Your definitely can't sponsor him.
If your brother fulfills all the requirements in your homeland for a nonimmigrant visa critera, he should be approved (ex: holding a job, having a bank account etc...) or else he 'll be denied.

You can't help or assist him in any way, what so ever.

Best Luck.

The Men:

Thanks for your reply.
But my question was: Does my asylee status NEGATIVELY effect on embessy's decision, if he mentions about me.
Because the embessy may think that my brother also might seek asylee status once he gets to the USA. This is what i worry about.

I dont want to hurt my family with my ASYLEE STATUS.

I would be happy to get your respones.

Thanks.

For that part of the world the United States basically assumes that visa applicants will want to settle in America for good. Empirical evidence does support that assumption. Your brother might be the rare people who want only to visit this country for a few weeks and then go home, but the embassy will be skeptical. It is up to you guys to prove that the assumption of the U.S. government is not correct. One way to show this is to show that his ties to his country are much stronger than usual. Having you here (in asylum or green card status, it does not matter) makes his situation harder because should he want to overstay he has someone to help him.

Thank you Thankful!

Your points seem to me very solid.

Thanks.

I am a GC holder based of asylum and when My Father tried to apply tourist visa to visit me using my letter, They denied it because they think my father would never return just like me. So I suggest you brother should never mention about you.

Not mentioning your brother is immigration fraud, so I would stay away from that. He should show that he owns a house, has a job, has family back home and he will get his visa.
