N-400 Check Cashing

Taking into consideration the current backlog of applications, does anyone have an idea of how long it takes the check to be cashed? I sent in my application to VSC at the end of August, and I'm fully aware of the processing/receipting delays. The check still hasn't been cashed. Is this normal?

Same for me. I think they have too many applications.

From the USCIS website it says it's taking up to 15 weeks to receive notice. That means check should be cashed 11-12 weeks after you send in N400 application.

Excellent, thanks for the info. I guess the days where the whole process was completed in 4-5 months are over!

My N 400 VSC Nothing so far
I will appreciate to hear from you.
Thanks in advance...

As I'm sure you've hear by now, there are lengthy delays in processing of applications and payments. If you check the USCIS website, they have a weekly update of processing dates. For the past 4 weeks, the processing date for VSC has been stuck on July 25th. I've seen your other posts where you say that you mailed yours in August. Looks like we're in the same boat. Right now, the USCIS states that it can take up to 15 weeks to get a receipt. I'm seriously considering withdrawing my application and waiting until this nonsense is over, then resubmitting.

Vorpal,

How will that help if you resubmit? Not like you know exactly when this rush is over, and anyway the applications submitted before you re-submit yours for the second time, have to be processed first!

Point taken. Someone already mentioned this in another thread. The USCUS works on a FIFO basis, so that'll just increase the wait. What really ticks me off is that I paid $675, and the service I'm getting (and many others who are in the same boat) is worse than lousy. Someone suggested writing to USCIS en masse and voicing our problems, but I highly doubt that it'll help.
