CANCEL F1 VISA, please help!

Hi, i have a f1 visa and i have been studying in the US for a month but now i want to cancel my f1 visa. I have b1/b2 visa valid until 2014. What should i do? i dont wanna study anymore and i wanna be in b1/b2 status.

You can apply for COS to B-2. Just bear in mind, at the most you will get 6 months.

You can apply for COS to B-2. Just bear in mind, at the most you will get 6 months.

That is correct. If you change your nonimmigrant status from "student" to "visitor" you will get at the most 6 months (or less). And after that you will have to go back to your home country.

The B1/B2 Visa is valid for 10 years. But that doesn't mean you can stay in the country for that long.
