I will be receiving by GC soon and plan on traveling outside the country. My old passport is stapled with my new one. Should I also bring my old canceled passport with me? Or traveling with my new passport and GC is fine to take with me?

Your GC is not "tied" to any passport of yours, old or new. Your current passport and GC should be adequate to return to the US.

Thanks. My parents and I were arguing about it. My dad says that I still need my old canceled passport with me to show how I got here before. Is that true? My brand new passport is blank. All I need is my gc and my new passport right?

As I said in my previous post, passport (totally blank and still hot from the press) and your GC will do the trick :)

why confusion? you can keep all your passports STAPLED. Airline need only your present Valid passport and US POE can ask for GC and Passport.

The only reason you might need your old passport, is if you have a visa for some other country which is stamped and is still valid in the old passport. Other than that, you can keep it has a souviner somewhere.
