Anyone heard from MA SESA?

Hi,
Nothing has been mentioned in this forum for a while - I was wondering if anyone has heard anything from MA SESA about non-RIR applications- the website says Sept. 2002. Has anyone with a PD of Sept. or Oct. 2002 heard anything?

More to the point - has anyone heard anything good?

Oct 2002 PD, MA SESA Call for AD

FYI -

I filed for Labor with MA SESA on Oct 10, 2002 - EB2, Non-RIR.
SESA got back to my lawyer on Oct 10, 2003 to go ahead with an ad.
Exactly one year to hear back from MA State labor!!
My lawyer has advised that we wait for a month then put together our application for Federal Labor.

Although I have not posted here before, these forums have been very useful for discussing these issues. Please keep these alive!

What's DET?

Hi all

this is the almost first time to post...
Today I asked an immigration specialist at my company and she told me that my priority date is May 23, 2003 and that was issued by DET(Division of Employment & Training). Oh by the way my application was sent with EB3 NON-RIR as I believe.

My question is DET is the same as SESA? Is that State-level agency to approv a Labor certificate application?

I have waited for 5 months so far.. 7 - 10 months more to go! :D

APPROVED

Finally the good news is here.
PD MA SESA NON-RIR : 26th june 2002
Filed recruitement results around: 10th August 2003.
Not sure when it was forwarded to DOL.
Approved Date: OCT 28th 2003.
These forums has been real helpful.. keep updating , it helps a lot.

MA SESA

MA SESA has published new dates: 10/29/02 - 11/20/02

My PD is 10/16/02, but I haven't heard anything from my attorney... :(

Hang in there, hym.

My PD was 10/10/02 (EB2, non-RIR) and I heard from SESA on 10/10/2003. I think you should hear about your case anytime now! I guess you could also ask your attorney to call and find out the status.

MA SESA status

NON-RIR: oct. 29th - nov. 20th, 2002
RIR: apr. 4th - apr. 15th, 2003

Hi SaiBobby,

Congrats. I am new to this group. But I have seen your replies and insights. Perhaps you can give me some info too ?

I work for an investment company in downtown. The lawyer is a white Jewish lawyer ( and not desi ) with a higly paid firm. So he does not give me much info on the status. My app is filed under non-RIR in june 2002. The lawyer got some resumes after the ad, and sent it to my boss on oct 2003. There were only 3 resumes, all insufficiently qualified. So my Boss rejected all of them and sent them to the lawyer end of Oct 2003.

Soooo, now what happens ? How much time till I get the certification of labor ? Does it now take months or weeks ? Do you ( or any other knowledgable person here ) know what the process is once the company rejects all resumes that applied for the ad ? Please help me guys. I am very anxious as my H1 time is running out and I don't wanna marry some white dude just for green card. Sorry if all this sounds very blunt and crude. Please reply and let me know Sai. Thanks. Have a nice day.

Getting ready for I 140 and 485.

Response for ad

I've received about 17 resumes but none fully qualified for the position advertised for.

Can anyone tell me if that number is too high for my app to flow thru??

zbcx123,

i am no expert, but i would assume as long as your company can give valid reasons why don't think that those 17 resumes meet the requirement (usually they do have a reason), you should be ok.

Recruitment effort

My PD was 10/17/2002 MA SESA NON-RIR, my attorney just notified my HR that SESA wants my company to conduct the recruitment effort for my position. Could someone please explain the recruitment process. Does SESA put some kind of deadline to get back to them with the recruitment result?

Thanks and I appreciate your time.

Is MA SESA still rejecting computer related LC application?

HI,

Is there any computer related application approved by MA SESA? I am wondering how difficult it is for a computer profectional to apply for Labor card in MA.

Thanks,

My friend got about 28 responses for the LC ad. What are the chances of survival. Normally what is the acceptable range with which one might get certified without much problems. Those of you who got LC cleared, can you please specify how many responses you got.

Hi ltk,

Don't worry, a friend of mine got 44 responses, and got his LC! So 28 responses is not bad. Just be patient, that is all.;)

Just wondering what dates are MA SESA processing at the moment... My rec't results (non-RIR) were submitted in first week of Oct but haven't heard back from MA SESA yet..

Any idea how long a wait i have ahead of me?

zbcx123,
Realistically, it's taking around 3-4 months from the date you file recruitment results. So, I would guess you'll hear about your DOL approval anywhere between first week of jan and first week of feb.
...You're almost there :)
