I think its better to do that because there is a 1 and half yr difference between both priority dates and there are lots of EB2 cases filed in 2006 and all of them are in 485 stage. So its better if you can use ur 2005 priority date.

How did u get ur 7th year extension? At that time u didn't file for 140 or 485 but still applied for 7th yr extension and got it approved. For 8th year also its the same.. just apply the extension at least 2 days before it expires and u will be fine. FYI , I am on my 9th h1 extention now

Yes atleast resumes must be reviewed and decide whether its worth an interview. When you file the Recruitment report you have to justify why the person was not interviewed or if the person was interviewed why the person was rejected. Basically, it must be documented.
