Hey Guys,
I know this is not a forum for job hunters but I decided to give it a try. I was very very lucky to avoid retrogression just in time. I got my GC in 6/07 and want to move out of NYC (whole lot of reasons: growing family, declining pay in NY, want to move to warmer climate). My...
congrats
Belive me I am still trembling almost 6 hours later.
Yep. Talk about patience :rolleyes
Thanks All.
Congrats. Your life will change forever. Enjoy the freedom. I am still trembling six months later:D
congrats Amit,
Enjoy the freedom. It will take some time to sink in that you are free now. 4 months after getting GC I cannot believe that I am a free man. Savor every moment of it. You did go through a lot.
I would strongly recommend CP
I would strongly recommend CP. With CP there is definite time period for the whole process which typically 3 to 6 months after 140 approval. With 485 its a hit or miss. Either you could get your GC within 3 to 6 months or wait for years (many are waiting upto five...
why not CP
Hey guys,
Why didnt you all go for CP. I was in a similar situation like you all. PD Dec 2001. GOt stuck in labor till recently. But after that it was an exceptionally smooth sailing for me. Went for CP. Got GC within 5 months of I140 approval. I have the card in hand since June...

I have never heard of such a thing. I have gone to Mumbai three times for my H1 extension. Never had any problems. Interviews lasted for 2 minutes. Go ahead and plan your trip without any worries. Hope this helps.
Congrats manishraj,
I have found Indian govt employees over here to be quite efficient. I wish all Indians would stop criticising them and give them the credit they deserve.
