i was not asked anything just showed my I20 and got it stamped,but be prepared for everything ie have ur latest bank statements ,recommendations letter from ur DSO if possible,Recommendation letter from ur prof etc etc BTW why did u fall out of status

u will get a canadian visa u just have to show them ur current valid I20 and visa in the passport no big deal i got mine the same way.I was in a similar situation i reentered from canada no probs at all.

my friend in such situations instead of losing heart and crying over split milk it is better to look for solutions. First of all speak to ur DSO see what he/she can do for u in this case .Iam sure there is a way out of this.Ou can apply for reinstatement since it is not more than 5 months out...

just leave country and reenter thats it u will get back in status

talk to ur school DSO explain ur situation and see if they can issue u a new I20 then u need to exit and reenter the USA on a new I94 thats it
