USCIS has proposed replacing F-1 D/S with fixed admission periods and raised concerns about second master’s degrees at the same level. If I transition to a Day 1 CPT second U.S. master, third overall one master from outside USA, could finalization of these rules during or after my transition negatively affect my F-1 status, Day 1 CPT authorization, or eligibility to pursue the degree, given my current D/S admission?

With an approved EB-2 NIW I-140 but no I-485 filed yet (PD expected current in a few months), is there any risk that ending STEM OPT (valid for one year more) and moving to a Day 1 CPT second U.S. master degree, third overall including one master from outside USA) could later cause USCIS to question F-1 maintenance, view Day 1 CPT as a violation, or require consular processing instead of allowing AOS?

Since my husband got his green card, can he continue to work on L1 (same company, no job change) or he has to transfer to green card immediately. One other lawyer I contacted mentioned that I have to stop working immediately because my husbands L1 is no longer valid as he got his green card.

@DEEPAMENON when a new member tries to register, after filling up the details you show in the screen that the verification link has been sent to the email address to verify the account, but in the email the new member doesn’t receive any verification link. Few of my friends experienced this issue. As a result they can’t post their questions for the conference call.

@DEEPAMENON when I try to login, I see message like “ your IP has been blocked” and as a result I can’t login. This is very irritating. When I see this problem, I try to login from other devices but I see the same issue. I have to wait for couple of hours and then sometime I can login successfully. Please have a look at this issue as well.

I have a diploma in business management and post graduate degree in supply chain management. I have evaluated this degree to one and I received the bachelor's in business management, and I have general manager experience in pizza store and Restautant for 3 years and 2 years in retail setting. so can I apply for position of hotel general manager category under Tn visa???

Questions for CC: I’m on H1B and have a question regarding spouse H4 to F1: If she arrives on H4 by July 25 and we apply for F1 before the Aug 25 semester, is filing for COS risky, as we’re filing in less than a month? What reason should we state for COS? How safe is it to use her parents’ financials for F1 conversion? Can we combine both sets (mine and theirs)? Any rejection risks in India stamping despite approval?

Question for CC:
I am on H1b visa and my H4 daughter(11th grade) is in US for 5yrs. She will attend university for undergrad STEM course next year.
a) To save Tuition Fee would it be a good idea to let her attend a Community College before starting with the University? Could this impact her F1 approval or F1 Visa stamping during new administration?

I have got H1B extension in November 2024, I am planning for stamping as per the date availability. Is there any issue or rejection during stamping, since I am carrying 3 years of bachelor degree from Mumbai University in Economics?. As DHS announced H1B modernization rule.
Please advise.
