Hey everyone your thoughts on this are well appreciated.
I have been waiting like most here for over 2 years now for my green card. I initially came here under a TN Visa but end up marrying an American.
So we filed all the paper work i-131,i-485 etc.
Well I got a letter about 3 weeks ago asking for more evidence (a birth certificate that had my parents name on it) so I submitted that about 2.5 weeks. Also about a week ago, we found out that my I-131 was approved (the petition from my wife for an alien)

My question is, do you think the 485 will be approved soon since the I-131 was and they asked for more evidence?

Thanks for anyone who wants to help me out.

I think the worst thing to get get a green card in this country is
a)you come here legally
b)well educated
c)a legitimate marriage based on love
d)you have a tough shell

I am running on empty here with this bs. ... I have lived here 4 years before even meeting my wife and now all of a sudden I have to change my status and give up a lot of time without the freedom of travelling back to Canada.

I have had a good job in the US and could get the same back home, but I am only here now cause my wife is from here.
Sorry to vent... but there should be no reason why a man or woman cannot travel back home to see his family.

My biggest fear is having my privileges decided by a bunch of uneducated morons.

I missed my grandfathers funeral in Canada because I was not allowed to get back in here...
I tried to get an emergency travel document but the "experts" in immigration deemed my situation "as not too significant"
