Wrting to Congressman or Senator or Ombudsman

What or who is going to help.
Case stuck since 2003. In the local office after interview in 2004.
I havnt yet written to any of these.
Who do you think I should write too. I dont want them to just make an enquiry on my behalf. I want them to intervene. Do you think writing to the GOverner or the first lady will help.
Advise please

If you want intervention, the Governor or the First Lady are out since neither is a federal official. Not even a Member of Congress can "intervene" and force USCIS to do anything.

Ratchet down your expectations. Pick one of your US Senators and go to his or her web site. Find out who the constituent assistant who handles immigration is, and give them a call. You'll need to fax over a signed form allowing them to inquire on your behalf, and probably some information about your case.

If you've been waiting 2+ years, you need to find out WHY you've been waiting and what can be done. Congressional offices are good to get information, and eventually the local office will start to move.

I have a peculiar case.
I 3was interviedwed in 2004 and at that time the IO didnt say much except mumbled something abt the Back ground check..........
Then later all my inquiries were answered with a Pending review.
In dec 2005 I went for infopass again and they told that my Back ground check was cleared but my case was now in retrogression.
Then when my date became current in august sometime I went again and this time they told me awaiting some information on my emplyment.
I asked them to expediate and IO promised.
Then nothing for 6 months.
then my attorney sent another enquiry to which they replied on Jan 22 that :pending security check ". Now this really confuses me. My back ground check as per USCIS was clear so now where did this come from.
But I recd CODE 1 FP on december 18th.
I always thought they send you 2nd or 3rd FP when they are ready to adjudicate so how come they write back on jan that they "awaiting Security check results"
Any advise or comments would be welcome
 
Also IN california which one of the Senators according to most people's experiance is better one to contact first.
I mean which of the two ladies will be more helpful
Boxer or Feinstein ???????????????
