Wrong Interview Notice?

Hello,

I'm wondering if anyone has the experience of receiving GC (marriage based, San Jose, CA) interview notice after attended one? Here's my strange experience:

1. rescheduled my GC interview in Dec, 2006
2. received the new notice from San Jose office in Dec, 2006,
3. went to the interview in Jan, 2007. The officer said everything is fine with him, just my background check is pending, so no card yet.
4. received another interview notice from San Jose office today, it's almost the same letter except the interviewing date is Feb, 2007.

I'm really confused. Are they asking for a second interview or just a mistake? Any help will be appreciated.

Attend again...

Man,

Just attend the damn interview again. You don't want to be caught on the wrong side of USCIS, it is a complicated bureaucracy, so you have to deal with them at their level, which is that of incompetence.

Wish you success again in your second interview.... :)

Call their 1800

There is a high probability that you won't get an info pass because of the already scheduled interview date this month. Here is an idea: call their 1800 number, take the change of address options and speak to a real person about your case. This is the easiet way to circumvent their crap...

Best in all you do... :p

that real person is just a clerk who is looking at the computer screen and can only tell you what he sees on the screen.

no, it didn't say anything.

The notice is exactly the same as the first one, coming from the same local office, just the date is new. That's why I think it is strange.

I think maybe only the notice from the Missorie has the word initial interview. The first rescheduled notice from the local san jose office doesn't say anything.

Does anyone have a sample of second interview notice sample? Thanks.

Like_camping - If I were you I would definitely try calling USCIS to get an idea, if they can help! YOU NEVER KNOW!!!

secondly - how far away is your 2nd interview from the 1st?

thirdly - if you run out of ideas :), you will have to go for the interview again. Its quite possible you are correct, but there is a chance you are not, thats why you are worried.

I would wait until the day of the interview and see if I get any information on the 1st interview that was held earlier, like a welcome letter, etc... if not, I would go there, with my hubby AND lawyer, and let them see me again :)
At the most they will ask you some more questions about your marriage, for which I am sure you are prepared to answer!!

Good Luck!!!

Thanks.

The new interview date is about one month from the last interview date. The most recent interview notice is sent out about one week from the last interview date.
